Bob Metcalfe is an inventor, a modern day mad scientist. He led the team that invented ethernet, founded 3Com, became a partner with Polaris VC and is now the Professor of Innovation at The University of Texas at Austin. In his “5th Career” he has turned his focus on the undergraduate talent at UT. Bob, along with Joshua Baer, teaches and mentors for a brand new class at The University of Texas: One Semester Startup. Bob and Josh are actively looking to recruit undergraduates who already know that they want to start companies. Not students who think they might one day want to start a company, but students who want to start a company right now.
